My client has a headmouse extreme mouse and wants to be able to play lots of computer games. Most computer games seem to still be joystick based so what’s the best way of accessing them?
Have a look at PPJoy: http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/Docs/PPJoyMain.htm
It’s not very user friendly piece of software to set up, but it does allow “Joystick emulation using the keyboard or mouse”. It works by adding a virtual joystick driver so it should work with almost everything.

I will check this out and report back on it’s usefulness.

From a different approach .... My two sons do alot of game playing on the computer and we do not own a joystick. I know lots of games give the option of either using joystick or mouse/keyboard. Is it the keyboard key pressess you are concerned about if electing the mouse function?

Indeed - my client wants to play with a headmouse - so it would either need to be a mouse-friendly game (preferred), or non-time orientated, so that he could use an on-screen keyboard (ugly).
It would be great to have a list of viable candidates - maybe here, if such a list doesn’t already exist?
