This study looks at the reliability of dedicated Voice Output Communication Aids, based on a sample of 444 devices, over 3 years (device population size n=503).
The title ‘The shocking truth’ refers to the findings that, for example, 55% required a service order within this time frame, 34.5% within the first year - the mean time to first failure being 37.8 weeks. This presentation also includes projected survival times for different types of devices.
